2024 Benefit Change Announcements – Large Groups

Benefit changes for District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia jurisdictions.

We are required to release Benefit Change Announcements (BCA) on an annual basis. In most cases, a number of benefits change in our plan designs from one year to another. Product benefit changes are by jurisdiction and are product-specific only, not plan-specific.

In the District of Columbia for 2024, the following is an overview of the changes:

  • Travel dialysis
  • Adult routine eye exams
  • In vitro fertilization
  • Fertility preservation
  • Weight management prescription drugs
  • DHMO Plus and HMO Plus name changes
  • Dental plan changes
  • Internal Revenue Services (IRS)-related changes (HSA-qualified plans)
  • Introducing Everyday Care plans

In Virginia for 2024, the following is an overview of the changes:

  • Travel dialysis
  • Adult routine eye exams
  • In vitro fertilization
  • Fertility preservation
  • Hearing aids and exams for children
  • Weight management prescription drugs
  • DHMO Plus and HMO Plus name changes
  • Dental plan changes
  • Internal Revenue Services (IRS)-related changes (HSA-qualified plans)
  • Introducing Everyday Care plans

In Maryland for 2024, the following is an overview of the changes:

  • Travel dialysis
  • Adult routine eye exams
  • In vitro fertilization
  • Breast cancer screening
  • Lung cancer screening
  • Primary care provider copay waiver for children under 5
  • Weight management prescription drugs
  • DHMO Plus and HMO Plus name changes
  • Dental plan changes
  • Internal Revenue Services (IRS)-related changes (HSA-qualified plans)
  • Introducing Everyday Care plans
